Ashley brings 14 years of diverse accounting experience to Barclay Group, specializing in tax, outsourced CFO services, and full-spectrum accounting support. She earned her B.S. in Accounting from George Mason University and her M.S. in Accounting from Liberty University—all while working full-time in public accounting.
Ashley began her career at Craver Green and Company, where she gained experience in tax, audit, and accounting. As the firm merged with McPhillips Roberts & Deans and later with BDO, she progressed into leadership roles, ultimately serving as a tax and accounting manager for seven years.
At Barclay Group, Ashley has played a pivotal role in building and expanding the firm’s outsourced accounting division—a much-needed service for small businesses. Most importantly, she’s proud of taking the leap away from big public accounting to focus on making a real impact with clients who truly value her expertise.

How would your colleagues describe you and what you bring to the team and to clients?
When I left BDO, the feedback I got was that they loved working with me and I was patient and caring and took the time to help them understand what they needed to do.
Which of the company’s core values resonates with you most?
Fun, of course. I have always believed you can have fun and work at the same time and a lot of that has to do with the people you are working with.
Do you like to travel? What was your favorite trip?
I enjoy traveling to the OBX with my family.
